Dubstep and Techno beats became popular last year, now music that has a throwback feel is taking over...and I love it!
Lana Del Rey, Daft Punk and Robin Thicke have been on my playlist non-stop.
I have been a huge fan of Lana Del Rey, ever since Born to Die came out as a free download on iTunes. The Americana vibe in her music makes me wish I grew up in an average suburb of Los Angeles sometime between the 50's and 90's. Then of course, very fitting, she did the song for Great Gatsby and I almost died of musical delight!
If you have not heard Daft Punk's most recent album Random Access Memories, you are missing out in life. It's certainly the BEST album to come out in several years by any artist.
This is my "driving into the city" song. It makes me think of an 80's Sci-fi, during the scene that the rugged hero is driving through the empty city at night.
